Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead is a contemporary play that chronicles the life of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang in their high school years. The director wanted the show to have a comic book feel, framing the scenes against a backdrop of solid, bright colors. The biggest challenge in lighting the show was working around the set that consisted of large walls which moved to frame each scene at various different areas of the stage. Another challenge was in lighting a cyc in a space that had no cyc lights available to use.

CB (Charlie Brown) and CB’s Sister (Sally) bury CB’s dog (Snoopy) who has just passed away.

CB and Matt (Pigpen) converse in a hallway at school

CB’s Sister performs her strange performance art piece for the high school drama club.

CB delivers a monologue about his old friend Beethoven (Schroeder) as we hear Beethoven playing the piano in the background.
